Georgetown, Texas 175th Anniversary
The City’s 175th Anniversary (Georgetown’s “demisemiseptcentennial”!) was planned alongside the County’s anniversary and the annual Poppy Fest. The brand aimed to still feel like a part of Georgetown and its existing strong brand, but allow for a variation of unique uses.
Project Goals
Having worked with Georgetown for multiple years already, Locality Studio knew their community and brand. We dove into their history and existing brand guidelines to see if we could pull fun and lesser known assets that still felt like a part of the brand family. The result focused on a cowboy hat “hidden” in their iconic G along with existing brand fonts and heavier use of blues to stand out with the bright red of the poppies.
Design Process
Final design deliverables included all logo files, brand guidelines, and LOTS of swag: dog bandanas, bunting, signage, banners, party/birthday hats, cups, stickers, flashlights, t-shirts, keychains, and more! We also assisted Georgetown with ideas and plans for: cards and banners for the community to write their “Happy Birthday, Georgetown” notes; budgeted swag items by type, quantity, and vendor; and general engagement and product inspiration.
